Pibgorn

A pibgorn is a Welsh musical instrument of the hornpipe family which uses reeds similar to those in a bagpipe chanter.

They form a subclass where a horn, usually cowhorn, is used as an amplifying bell, and these instruments are variously either simply mouthblown or part of a bagpipe. They have an almost worldwide distribution, being found on all continents except Australia.

They can usually be seen in action at Gwyl Bibau Pencader - Pipes Festival in September each year.
