Alyn and Deeside

Alyn and Deeside was a local government district in Wales from 1974 to 1996. There is still a parliamentary constituency of the same name.

The district was formed on April 1, 1974, from the urban districts of Buckley and Connah's Quay, and most of Hawarden Rural District.

It was abolished on April 1, 1996 and merged into the new unitary Flintshire.
