In the UK, County cricket is the domestic form of the sport of cricket that is considered to be first-class cricket. Almost all of teams are named after, and were originally representative of, English counties (the exception being Glamorgan, which is in Wales.)

Glamorgan County Cricket Club represents Wales at First Class Cricket witha aWelsh side also represented in the Minor Counties competition.

The Welsh Cricket Association (WCA) is the Governing Body of Welsh Amateur Cricket and is so recognised by the Sports Council for Wales (SCW) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (E. & W.C.B).
